I HAVE A PASSION FOR PEOPLE AND HORSES

Whether it be teaching or volunteering, I have found therapeutic horse riding to be true passion for me. The combination of being around horse and helping disabled individuals to meet their goals, makes me so happy!

I have always enjoyed horse back riding and as you have probably read, I had my own horse Beau for over 25 years. He was more than a pet. As a person who has suffered from depression most of my life, he was my savior. Many times when I lived in California, he was only a 20 minute drive and I would go to him when I needed support.

When I relocated to Colorado, I started to volunteer at Miracles Therapeutic Riding Center. Within a year of my volunteering, they invited me to be an instructor

I taught disabled students of all ages and spectrums of disabilities. I interacted with each student and their care person whether that be parent or person from the facility where they lived.

Then, I went to work at Carlisle Equestrian Center where I developed and taught a Youth riding program, that I handed off to the facilities trainer.

Currently, I work as a volunteer for the Colorado Therapeutic Riding Center, where I soon hope to teach.
